I spent years pretending to be a serious person — earning a PhD in philosophy and teaching cultural studies for over a decade at the Academy of Art and Design. Now I draw robber mice and moose with existential crises — and I couldn’t be happier.

It took me 42 years and a winding road to get here, but when I started illustrating, I knew I had finally found my place. I love creating whimsical worlds, tiny details, and quirky characters that make little (and big) ones smile.

My SCBWI Profile and my AOI Profile, connecting me with worldwide communities of children’s book creators and illustrators.
